2007 FCA Makeup Instructions

ALL individuals are to use the FCA ordered makeup in the instructed manner.  Individuals are not permitted to wear other colors that they feel look better on them.  Individuals that show up wearing the wrong colors, not wearing all components of the makeup, or wearing makeup differently than instructed will be required to change their makeup at the competition or event.  The purpose of ordering team makeup is so that each team presents a cohesive look.

NOTE:  Using a pressed powder foundation all over the face prior to applying the make-up below will facilitate easier removal of any excess shimmer power or glitter.  The ability to remove any excess glitter/shimmer makes the overall look much neater!

·        Eyes

o       Apply a thin layer of shadow control cream over the entire eyelid (from the eyelashes to the eyebrow).  (This helps the shimmer powder adhere and not crease throughout the day.)

o       Using a brush, lightly cover the entire eyelid (lashes to brow) with shiny silver shimmer powder.

o       Give the shimmer powder a minute to set and then lightly cover all of the shimmer powder with glitter glue.

o       Give the glitter glue a few seconds to ‘get tacky’ and then, using a brush, cover the glue with glitter.

o       Apply black eyeliner to the outer half of the eyelid and carry it out past the end of the eye and up slightly toward the eyebrows. (Note: Older teams can utilize black eyeliner on their lower lid also.)

o       Keep the eye closed and allow it all to dry for a few minutes.

o       Apply black mascara (Note: The older girls are permitted to wear false eyelashes, if desired.)

·        Blush

o       Apply blush to the cheeks – please use a color complementary to the lipstick color

·        Body

o       Apply silver spray glitter to the body and uniform.

NOTE:  The make-up application takes practice to get good at – especially the lips.  Please practice.  Also, when doing make-up on the younger ones, it is sometimes easier to lay them down and do it while they are in that position.
