Mom/Dad & Me Age: Starting at 2! Skills: Movement (galloping, marching, jumping, bear walking), as well as leaning forward rolls, backward rolls and cartwheels. The parent comes and directs their toddler during class. The toddler does a lot of movement skills such as galloping, marching, jumping, bear walking...along with learning forward rolls, backward rolls and cartwheels. This 30 minute class keeps the children moving!
Tiny Tots Age: Ages 3 yrs, 9 months - 4 yrs, 11 months Skills: Same as above, only without a parent. Parents can sit and watch; we recommend it!
Beginners One Age: 5-9 Skills: Basic tumbling skills such as forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, headstands, handstands and bridge kickovers with feet elavated on a 12" mat. Once a child can perform a left cartwheel, right cartwheel and a bridge kickover, the child moves into the Beginners Two class.
Beginners Two Age: 5-9 Skills: Same as Beginners One, along with the following: Round-offs, handstand forward rolls, front limbers, back bends, bridge kickovers working their way to be able to kickover on the floor.
Intermediate Age: Any Skills: The next level after Beginners Two, adding backwalkovers, back limbers and beginning back handsprings. Once a child is doing strong back handsprings (with an instuctor spotting) she/he moves into the Advanced #1 class.
Advanced #1 Age: Any Skills: Offered to children working on the back handspring. Once the student is able to do the back handspring she/he move to the Advanced Tumbling Class.
Advanced Tumbling Age: Any Skills: Consecutive back handsprings along with round-off back handsprings and aerial cartwheels.
Power Tumbling Class Age: Any Skills: Offered to children that achieved round-off five back handsprings and stand back handsprings with straight legs and a power push off the mat. These children learn back tucks, lay outs, alternates, front tucks.
Basic Intermediate Age: 10-18 Skills: Offered to children starting gymnastics for the first time at the age of 10. This is based as a beginners class but groups these children with their own age. These students learn cheerleading jumps, cartwheels, round-offs, arches, kickovers, back walkovers, back limbers, and start back handsprings. These children can move to Intermediate, Advanced #1, or Gym/Cheer Plus, which ever they feel more comfortable doing.
BHS Class (Back Handspring Class) Age: 10-18 Skills: This is an advanced Gym/Cheer class. These students have a strong bridge, good cartwheels and round offs. This class concentrates primarily on the back handspring.
Cheerleading Tumbling Age: 10-18 Skills: Equivalent to advanced tumbling, but places older children with their peers.
Layout/Twist Class By Invitation Only This is the most advanced class in our program. Students learn higher, tighter layouts and then learn how to twist them! Students work on double twists, as well as standing tumbling up to standing fulls.
